Millstatt
Millstatt is on of the most historic and culturally important places on the lake:The image of Millstatt is on the one side characterised by the old „Habsburg Villas “ – built between 1875 and 1910 – and on the other side by the Benedictine monastery from the 11th century with the famous Last Judgement fresco and the Cloister from the 12th century.
In the swimming areas of Millstatt is Carinthia oldest diving platform, built in 1930.
„Mille Statuae“ is an art project, where artists from the entire Alpine-Adria-area create and display their statues in Millstatt.
The annual Millstatt Music festivals, the Kaiser fest and weekly Millstatt town market complete the cultural offer of this fresh air resort town
